Our Team

Meet our team members and see who best matches your needs:

RCC Kate Neale-Hughes

Our clinic founder Kate, has always been that person when standing at a bus stop, someone will come along and start pouring out their troubles. This has followed her everywhere. She used to wonder if this happened to other people too. Over time, Kate began to see it as a gift. People found something beneficial in talking to her. Maybe this was something she was meant to be doing more of.

She decided to pursue a career in Clinical Counselling and studied for her Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. When she graduated, Kate became licensed with the BCACC as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #17466). While writing her thesis on the gut-brain axis, Kate became very interested in the impact nutrition can have on our health. This led her to complete training as a Nutritionist so that she could offer a multi-faceted approach to both physical and mental health. While working with adults with ADHD, she noticed that many of them also suffered from disordered eating, predominantly, binge eating disorder. She discovered a passion in bringing all of her areas of training together to support many of her clients with managing their binge eating and ADHD.

As someone who has a passion for learning, finding methods of offering people different ways of molding their lives into what they want it to be, excites Kate. She trained as a Master Practitioner in NLP, Time Line Therapy®, and Hypnosis in 2020 and has been so delighted to see some incredible results from clients since that time.

Kate is trained in EMDR therapy, and also Gottman Levels 1 & 2 for Couples Counselling.

RCC Elysia Bronson

As someone with personal experience living with chronic illnesses, Elysia knows what it’s like to feel like you're fighting your body to survive, to feel like you’re trying everything, and seemingly getting nowhere. If you’ve ever been told “your labs are completely normal” or “there’s nothing wrong with you” but you’re in constant pain and discomfort, you’ve come to the right place. Elysia's goal is to help those with hard-to-diagnose health issues and syndromes. Cancer, chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, and rare disorders are all within her wheelhouse. You & Elysia will work together on things like coping with pain, increasing energy, managing stress, and healing childhood emotional wounds.

The way Elysia shows up with clients stems not only from her lived experience but also from her decade of training in Trauma Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which means that Elysia can help everyone ages 5 and up with their traumatic experiences. Elysia works with both trauma and chronic illnesses as there is a strong connection between chronic illness and our early childhood traumas. Now this means that the stress we encounter early in life effects our nervous system through our fight or flight responses, and having cortisol flooding the body with trauma can cause later illnesses and other interesting things. So if you resonate with these points, schedule a consultation with Elysia about the ways she could help you achieve more control over your body.

Elysia offers virtual appointments only at this time.
